The Mansell Raceway track is a unique outdoor track set in a rural location next to the airfield. The track measures 750 metres long and an average of 8 metres wide.

A good lap, in dry conditions takes approx 48 to 49 seconds. Often Grand Prix teams are separated by only a few seconds at the finish. The smallest winning margin has been 0.7 seconds after 2 hours of racing with the first 5 teams home within 35 seconds. In the 2007 season the lead changed on events during the last lap on 6 occasions. Rain can slow lap times to over 65 seconds.
